Caitlin Ginwala, LMFT

Caitlin Ginwala, LMFT, is the Director of Therapy at Little Otter and a licensed marriage and family therapist with over a decade of experience supporting children and families. In her role, Caitlin leads the therapy and parenting specialty teams, providing clinical oversight, training, and ongoing support to ensure the delivery of exceptional care. Her clinical specialties include perinatal and infant mental health, LGBTQIA+ family support, foster and adoptive family support, trauma-informed care, and grief counseling. Caitlin is deeply committed to advancing mental health practices that are developmentally attuned, attachment-focused, and rooted in evidence-based approaches.

Caitlin earned her MS in Counseling from California State University, Northridge, and completed her practicum at Strength United (formerly Valley Trauma Center), where she contributed to both the Family Preservation and Adoption Promotion programs. She has advanced training in several evidence-based models, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Her career has spanned community mental health, day treatment, county outpatient, and managed care settings, all with a consistent focus on promoting high-quality, compassionate clinical care. Outside of work, Caitlin finds joy in cooking, spending time in nature, and getting lost in a good book!
