Clinical Lead and Parenting Specialist, Little Otter

Jessica (Jess) Stephan is one of Little Otter’s Clinical Leads and Parenting Specialists and an Indiana based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). At Little Otter, Jess supports the therapy and parenting speciality teams as a clinical consultant. She also meets with caregivers to craft unique and individual behavioral support plans to promote positive behavior change while ensuring a focus on the family’s values. Jess is passionate about creating an environment that is welcoming and supportive to help families reach their goals.

Within her career, Jess has had the privilege of supporting the mental health needs of individuals in many facets. While in her undergraduate at Indiana University, she studied positive behavioral supports for juveniles in correctional facilities prior to working in a public school as both a Special Educator and Behavior Specialist. After earning her graduate degree through Ball State University, she became a BCBA and entered the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, directly working with families and children 18 months to 22 years diagnosed with Autism and other mental health needs. Prior to joining Little Otter, she also worked in executive management focusing much of her efforts towards coordinating with caregivers of children with unique behavioral needs; ultimately finding her true passion of providing direct support to caregivers here at Little Otter. Outside of work, Jess enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and cooking!
