Alexis Hawley, LPCC, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in California with a Master of Science (M.S.) in Early Childhood Mental Health from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Psychology from the University of San Diego. Specializing in early childhood mental health, she focuses on working with children aged 0-5 and their caregivers.
Her expertise spans a wide range of concerns, including behavior modification, tantrums, aggression, defiance, anxiety, depression, trauma, and disruptive behaviors. She centers her approach on nurturing healthy attachments while addressing social-emotional and behavioral challenges.
With a client-centered approach, she provides empathy, warmth, and support through a non-judgmental lens. In sessions, she explores the child’s attachment patterns, nervous system responses, coping strategies, and other factors that may impact their ability to thrive in various settings. Drawing from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, she tailors interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual and family she works with. Additionally, she is bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing her to connect with families from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures.
