Amy Cruz, LPCC is a therapist at Little Otter with a decade of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families across a wide range of settings, including early childhood programs, school-based intervention services, and within hospital and community sectors. She has supported individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief, co-parenting, and major life transitions through individual therapy, group therapy, and school-based consultation. Her work facilitating caregiver psychoeducational support groups deepened her understanding of the vital importance of not only supporting children, but also nurturing their caregivers and the family unit as a whole.
Amy's therapeutic approach centers on identifying individual and family strengths and integrating core values into the therapeutic process. She meets each child and family where they are, offering a client-centered, nonjudgmental approach that fosters growth and learning for the entire family. She incorporates play therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, equipping clients with tangible tools they can use in their everyday lives. Amy also works closely with parents, providing tools and support to empower them in finding both confidence and joy in their parenting journey.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors in nature, reading biographies, cooking for others, and spending time with her dog. También se ofrece terapia en Español.
