Athena Morrisette, LCSW, PPSC is a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to supporting the emotional and behavioral health of adolescents transitional age youth, and their families. She earned her B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University and her MSW from the University of Southern California and Pupil Personnel Services Credential. With over a decade of experience, Athena has worked across public schools, early childhood programs, and community mental health settings. Her clinical work includes providing individual and group therapy, facilitating parenting groups, supporting school wide wellness efforts and supervising MSW interns. Athena is passionate about fostering resilience, equity, and healthy identity development in youth as they navigate the critical transitions of adolescence and early adulthood.
Athena’s approach is rooted in the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. I honor your autonomy and self-determination knowing that no one understands your thoughts, values, and emotions better than you do. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, guidance, and a space that is safe, compassionate, and free of judgment. Together, we will explore the challenges you are facing and the questions you are holding. We will work to identify the tools, strengths, and resilience that already live within you, and build on them in ways that feel real and meaningful. I believe that healing and growth are about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have always been there. Therapy in this way becomes a space for deeper intention, grounded support, and greater clarity as you journey through life’s complexities, transitions, and unknowns toward a life that reflects your truth and inner strengths.
Outside of work, Athena enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting farmers markets, creating floral arrangements, baking, exploring museums, working with ceramics, and attending live concerts.
