Dr. Bethany Breen, PhD, BCBA/LBA, has had the privilege of supporting the behavioral and mental health needs of children and families across clinical, educational, and community settings. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Breen focused on evidence-based interventions and parent-mediated supports for children with developmental and behavioral challenges. She has extensive experience as both a clinician and supervisor, working with children from early intervention through adolescence diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental or emotional needs. Before joining Little Otter Health, Dr. Breen served in multiple leadership and supervisory roles, providing direct BCBA supervision, parent training, and clinical program oversight. Her practice emphasizes data-driven, compassionate care that empowers parents and caregivers to confidently implement effective strategies at home and in the community. At Little Otter, she continues her passion for guiding families through collaborative, strengths-based behavioral support to help children thrive across all environments.
Dr. Breen’s approach is grounded in the belief that caregivers are the foundation of every child’s success and the most valuable partners in the therapeutic process. She works collaboratively with each family to build relationships that are authentic, compassionate, and empowering. Through this partnership, Dr. Breen seeks to deeply understand each family’s unique strengths, values, and challenges in order to design meaningful, sustainable strategies for growth. She believes children thrive when their caregivers feel supported, confident, and equipped with the tools and knowledge to guide their child’s development with understanding and consistency.
Outside of work, Dr. Breen enjoys cooking, spending time with her husband, kids, and dog, and exploring new places through travel. She values time with her family and finds joy in discovering local cultures and cuisines.
Dr. Breen wants families to know that every child’s progress begins with hope, collaboration, and small, consistent steps forward. She strives to create a safe, judgment-free space where caregivers feel supported, informed, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Her greatest joy comes from helping families recognize their child’s strengths and celebrating progress, big or small, along the way.
