Brittany Vittor, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with a diverse background supporting children, adolescents, and families across a wide range of settings. Her clinical journey has taken her through school-based mental health programs, community-based after-school library initiatives, group homes for children and teens, hospital emergency departments, and hospice care, where she supported families navigating end-of-life experiences. Each of these environments has deeply influenced her clinical approach, enhancing her understanding of the emotional and behavioral needs of children and families facing a broad spectrum of challenges. These experiences have allowed Brittany to build strong skills in crisis intervention, emotional support, and trauma-informed care, while developing a compassionate, flexible, and responsive style of practice. Throughout her career, Brittany has drawn from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness practices, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help children build coping skills, emotional regulation, and resilience. She is deeply committed to meeting each child and family where they are, honoring their unique strengths, stories, and needs. Brittany's therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including CBT, MI, mindfulness-based interventions, and DBT principles. She tailors her work to meet each child’s individual needs, always considering their unique strengths and family dynamics. Her practice is trauma-informed and developmentally sensitive, with a strong focus on emotional regulation, coping skills, and relationship-building. She believes in the power of collaboration and views caregivers as essential partners in the therapeutic process. Together, Brittany works with families to strengthen the caregiver-child relationship, build resilience, and foster lasting positive change. It is a privilege for Brittany to walk alongside families on their journey toward wellness and connection. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending quality time with her children and exploring her new home in South Carolina. Since recently relocating from Alabama, she has enjoyed discovering local parks, shops, and events as her family settles into this new chapter.
