Diane Aguilar, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience providing mental health services to children and families in community settings. Her clinical work has focused exclusively on serving children ages 0–17, and she has held specialized roles including Coordinator for the California Child Abuse Treatment (CHAT) Program—supporting victims of crimes such as domestic violence and abuse/neglect—and Therapeutic Visitation provider for foster care-involved families working toward reunification. She is certified in several evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), and is also trained in the Neuro-Sequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). Her treatment specializations include child trauma (particularly sexual abuse), neurodiversity (such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder), early childhood mental health (ages 0–5), and attachment-based care. Throughout her career, Diane has prioritized a whole-family, strengths-based, and collaborative approach to therapy. She believes parents and caregivers are the experts on their own children and fosters strong partnerships throughout the treatment process. She is committed to creating a playful, creative, and supportive environment where children feel heard and understood—and where a trusting therapeutic relationship forms the foundation for meaningful progress. Born and raised in Northern California, Diane is passionate about improving the quality of life for children and their families, believing wholeheartedly that “it takes a village to raise a child.” Outside of her clinical work, she cherishes time with her six-year-old daughter, making core memories at theme parks like Disneyland and Legoland, and bonding over their shared love of Disney and Sailor Moon.
