Gina Pizzi, LPC is a therapist at Little Otter with over seven years of experience in the mental health field. Her clinical expertise spans across all ages, allowing her to adapt her approach to meet the unique needs of children, adolescents, and adult family members. She has provided services in diverse settings, including community mental health centers, home-based environments, and school systems, which has given her a broad perspective on client care and system collaboration.
Gina is passionate about supporting children and their families on their journey toward growth and positive change, using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered approach. She works closely with clients to develop meaningful and attainable goals, always striving to meet them where they are in their process.
Gina's therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to each client’s unique journey. She primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and person-centered principles to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space for healing and growth. Gina believes in meeting clients where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and empowering them to build resilience. She is especially passionate about working with children, as she believes early intervention and compassionate guidance can set the foundation for lifelong success.
Outside of work, Gina enjoys writing and journaling, spending time with her husband and cat, playing with her niece and nephew, cooking, reading, and engaging in activities involving animals, such as visiting zoos, farms, and shelters.
She also enjoys incorporating mindfulness techniques into her therapy sessions.
