Henya Shainsky, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, is a Board-Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst with over a decade of experience in the fields of behavior analysis and special education. Throughout her career, she has supported children and families impacted by developmental disabilities as well as a variety of mental health conditions. Henya has worked in homes, public and private schools, and clinical settings, delivering behavioral therapy and parent coaching for individuals ages 2–22 years.
Prior to joining Little Otter, Henya supervised technicians in the delivery of Applied Behavior Analytic therapy and is thrilled to now focus more directly on supporting caregivers. Her approach is grounded in empowering parents and caregivers to confidently support their children’s growth. She strives to increase understanding and compassion between parent and child while helping each family build a unique roadmap toward progress based on their individual needs.
Henya earned her Master’s in Education and brings warmth, collaboration, and empathy to her work with families. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Portland’s amazing restaurants, spending time with her husband and dog, and watching (mostly) reality TV. Henya is also excited to welcome her first baby girl in October 2025!
