Holly Duffy, LMFT has enjoyed supporting children, youth and adults of all ages for many years. She studied Early Childhood Education and began working in school systems as a tutor over 23 years ago. While earning her MA in Counseling Psychology, she began LMFT traineeships and internships working with children, families and in addiction clinics. She trained, completed certificates, and worked practicing Expressive Art Therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapies among other modalities. Prior to joining Little Otter, she was an Elementary, Middle, and Highschool Teacher, Music and Special Education Teacher, and School Therapist/ Counselor. Holly truly enjoys counseling with children and families and is excited to be working with Little Otter! Holly's therapeutic approach is warm, empathetic, and focused on learning each child and families unique skills, interests, and primary mental health complaints. Solution focused, Holly enjoys listening and teaching CBT skills in simple and fun ways that everyone can incorporate as small achievable goals or "baby steps" and achievements in their everyday lives. In addition to CBT, Holly adds Trauma informed and Expressive Arts and Play Therapies when and if helpful and appropriate for each client and family.
