Jennifer Breslin, LPCC, believes in the power of relationship, connection, and creativity to bring meaningful change to someone's life. She supports the individual child and the whole family by building a warm and safe therapy space—where artistic messes can unfold, pirates may roam, and monsters are battled. With over 15 years of experience as a clinician, child development specialist, and parent educator, she is currently finishing her dissertation for a PhD in Infant and Early Childhood Development and Mental Health. Her PhD program has focused on all areas of child development—including language, cognition, social, and sensory-motor skills—child mental health, and parent/caregiver-child relationships. She uses a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, bridging developmental psychology, systems theory, creative arts therapies, and trauma-informed practice with a comprehensive understanding of child and human development. In addition to clinical work, she has developed service-oriented, child- and family-focused programs. For example, during the pandemic, she wrote and designed a book for young children to support understanding of COVID-19 titled Little Pup Gets Covid, which has been widely shared with parents and childcare providers. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and having adventures near and far from home. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts, an MA in Drama Therapy, and is a PhD candidate in Infant and Early Childhood Development and Mental Health.
