Jennifer Mathey-Mac Lellan, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with ten years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, caregivers, and families across a variety of community-based service settings, including schools, behavioral training programs, and clinical settings. Over the past five years, she has specialized in providing evidence-based treatment and services to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder with dual mental health diagnoses. Her clinical expertise includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Radical Acceptance, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Care, self-regulation skills training, and the application of neuroplasticity concepts.
Jennifer’s therapeutic approach is based on the premise that each person is unique, capable of healing, growth, and learning. She tailors an integrative, collaborative approach targeting clients’ strengths to provide opportunities for change and development. By maintaining collaboration with parents and caregivers, she creates treatment plans uniquely suited to the needs of each child and family.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors in nature with her family and dog, Bruno. She also enjoys reading, learning, and engaging in creative activities such as journaling, photography, drawing, and painting. Believing that a calm, happy brain heals and learns best, she incorporates play- and art-based activities for both children and adults.
