Jessica Saran, LCSW is a therapist at Little Otter with a background rooted in public safety and a deep commitment to supporting individuals through life’s most difficult moments. This dedication led her naturally to the field of social work. Over the years, she has gained experience across a wide range of clinical settings, including psychotherapy, medical social work with liver and kidney transplant patients, behavioral health coordination within insurance systems, and as an instructor at Loma Linda University’s School of Social Work.Jessica utilizes interventions from several therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Crisis Intervention Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She has supported children, adolescents, adults, caregivers, and families in various community-based settings, always with a personalized and client-centered approach.
Jessica's work focuses on helping clients identify their strengths, build critical life skills, and create healthier, more empowered relationships. Her therapeutic style is low-pressure, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. She works to build an authentic, compassionate, and respectful partnership with clients and their caregivers. Through this relationship, she helps clients identify concerns, set meaningful goals, and use evidence-based strategies to foster lasting healing and personal growth. She strongly believes that children and families thrive when they feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Jessica finds joy in caring for animals and supporting her local community. She is a proud mom to five French Bulldogs and an Australian Shepherd and is actively involved in a small, local dog rescue. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, spending time with family, and staying active through regular workouts.
