Kate is a certified Special Education teacher with experience as an AmeriCorps member with City Year in California and a strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis. After returning to New York to further her education, she earned her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbia University’s Teachers College and became certified to teach both General Education and Special Education up to 6th grade. As part of a military family, she has worked in many states implementing ABA evidence-based practices across a variety of settings, including homes, centers, and multiple school districts, and has completed both parent and teacher trainings. She is a lifelong learner who is committed to continuing to grow in her field.
As a parent of three, she understands both the joys and challenges of behavior and enjoys collaborating with parents to creatively support them with interventions, strategies, and protocols.
Outside of work, she loves reading, running, and spending time with her husband and three kids.
