Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Philadelphia who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, adults, and families build more meaningful and connected relationships. She partners with caregivers throughout their parenting journey, offering support with effective discipline, behavioral challenges, and children’s social-emotional development.
Lauren began her career in the nonprofit sector, where she supported children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism, ADHD, and learning differences, as well as neurotypical individuals. During her graduate studies, she worked with children and families in Philadelphia’s foster care system. After earning her counseling license, Lauren continued her work in the IDD community before transitioning to a role supporting military children and their families.
Since joining Little Otter in the fall of 2022, Lauren has drawn upon her diverse clinical experiences to support families with compassion, creativity, and flexibility. Grounded in person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), she takes a laid-back, relational approach that allows her to truly get to know each family she works with. Lauren is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based model designed to help children and adolescents heal from trauma.
Outside of her clinical work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her spouse and children, being outdoors, and crocheting. She believes that seeking support is an act of courage — and that opening up to help can be a life-changing step toward healing and connection.
