Rosa Linda Ogas, LCSW possesses over 30 years of experience serving individuals and families. She is dedicated to supporting the clients she works with through compassionate evidence-based care. She earned both a bachelor's and master's degree in social work from San Jose State University, where she also earned a certificate in Spanish counseling. Her career began working with children and their families as CPS social worker where she gained extensive experience in working with family systems, After Hours Crisis and Emergency Response Services. Over the years, she has worked with diverse populations ranging from young children to adults addressing issues related to trauma, attachment, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, parenting support and family dynamics. In addition to direct clinical work, she has supervised and trained associate social workers, providing clinical supervision for licensure and lead multidisciplinary teams of clinicians and staff. Before coming to Little Otter, she served as the director of two outpatient mental health clinics and developed a behavioral healthcare management team within a large healthcare organization. While her leadership roles have been rewarding, Rosa Linda discovered her true passion lies in providing direct therapeutic support- helping families heal, grow and strengthen their connection.
Rosa Linda's approach is a strength-based approach and is rooted in the belief that every individual contributes something positive to every situation. She values transparency, compassion and genuine connection in her work. Rosa Linda looks to foster a true therapeutic partnership with clients and families. She focuses on building trust and helping individuals discover their strengths, deep in self-understanding, and create last, positive change.
Outside of work, Rosa Linda enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her granddaughter and her spunky 7-year-old terrier, Shasta. She loves attending local festivals and farmers markets but also appreciates the comfort of being a homebody - relaxing, recharging, and watching a good romantic comedy.
Rosa Linda maintains a commitment to and is trained in cultural and linguistic competency. Rosa Linda is bilingual and has worked with clients around issues of Acculturation and Acculturation Guilt.
