Mary Mahoney, M.S., BCBA, LBA, is a caring, attentive, and professional Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with over 15 years of experience supporting children, families, young adults, and multidisciplinary teams across public and private schools, universities, clinical settings, and non-profit organizations. Mary loves to collaborate and apply thoughtfully created interventions that promote regulation, independence, and comfort. Her professional interests include program design, data collection refinement, assessments, environmental arrangements, sensory room development, and experiential design.
Mary earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Eastern University in St. David’s, Pennsylvania. She gained extensive field experience in behavior analysis at The Melmark School and A Step Up Academy, while also completing her Practicum and Counseling Internship at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Mary has been a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst since 2016 and is licensed in multiple states.
Open-minded and deeply respectful, Mary believes that non-judgment and empathy are essential to effective care. An attentive and understanding listener, she encourages families to speak honestly about their experiences, values, and priorities. Through thoughtful analysis of events, themes, and dynamics, Mary ensures that all strategies and plans are accessible and user-friendly. She finds great joy in connecting with others, empowering families, and celebrating success.
Outside of work, Mary enjoys making memories with family and friends, laughing, and attending live music events. A former triathlete and certified yoga teacher, she also believes that movement is another form of medicine.
