Michelle Stobaugh, LMFT is a child and adolescent therapist passionate about how young minds think and feel. She works with individuals, couples, children, and families, using a collaborative approach to help clients overcome challenges and live more meaningful, enriched lives. When working with individuals, she supports them in establishing good coping skills, healing emotionally and relationally, and building a solid and secure sense of self. In family work, she draws on an emotion-focused approach to help clients reconnect, problem-solve, and strengthen their bonds with one another.
Michelle's therapeutic work with children and teens is grounded in a mind-body approach that treats mental health symptoms as signals pointing to deeper needs. She works to uncover root causes using techniques such as play therapy and trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), providing kids and teens with tools, insight, and self-understanding they can carry with them throughout life. She earned her training at Pepperdine University and has experience across schools, nonprofits, and private practice settings. She brings a deep, compassionate toolkit to every child and family she works with.
Outside of work, she loves to read, spend time at the beach, enjoy iced coffee with oat milk, and be with friends and family.
