Nancy Bateh, LMFT, completed all her graduate practicum hours at a Headstart program. There she worked with the preschool students and their caregivers offering play therapy and psychoeducation. After earning her graduate degree through Azusa Pacific University, she got hired on to a non profit organization where she worked with children and families. Nancy was one of the few therapists in that organization that specialized with the young population of ages zero to five. She completed an 18 month course in a therapy model called, CPP Child-Parent Psychotherapy. Nancy always wanted to work for a hospital and she got hired on to work as a Bilingual Mental Health Therapist for St. Joseph's Hospital. There she worked with children, families, and adults at the hospitals Family Resource Center. While working at the hospital, Nancy got trained in EMDR Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. Nancy took a career break to be a stay-at-home mom. She is now ready to come back and do what she is so passionate about; working with children and their families. Nancy's approach is grounded in the belief that caregivers play a vital role in achieving positive outcomes for their children. Nancy emphasizes the importance of early intervention for the entire family. Nancy provides a safe, compassionate, and supportive space for children and their caregivers. Using evidence-based approaches, she honors the unique stories of each family. Nancy is also bilingual-fluent in Spanish. Outside of work, Nancy enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and traveling.
