Rebecca Ishida, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist with 28 years of experience supporting people from diverse cultures and lifestyles through challenging life issues that cause stress, sadness, and turmoil. Rebecca’s therapeutic approach combines empathy with confrontation, providing an honest, open, and compassionate environment where clients can confront and address their concerns. She has extensive experience working with addictions, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, and grief. Her goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship that allows clients to genuinely and honestly move toward healing. Rebecca works collaboratively with clients to set and achieve therapeutic goals, employing a direct and solution-focused style. She is deeply committed to her clients’ well-being and feels honored to share in their emotions—whether navigating grief and sadness or celebrating hopes and dreams. Rebecca earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She is a single mother of two and lives in Los Angeles. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys performing stand-up comedy at various clubs.
