Roxana Lopez, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and has ferociously followed her passion in supporting youth and families with their mental health and parenting needs. Roxana first started working with children in schools, developing an appreciation and respect to the diverse needs of youth and families. Over the years, she has strived to also work with those who are underserved and overlooked, including individuals with developmental disabilities such as those on the Autism Spectrum. Roxana has accumulated years of experience that include providing parenting classes, school social work, trauma-focused work, supporting those with developmental needs, as well as providing support in immigration social work. Roxana continues to pursue her passion in supporting youth and families in feeling empowered to navigate their mental health concerns and looks forward to providing that care with Little Otter.
Roxana has learned over the years that it can take a village to raise a child and will approach care in a collaborative way with caregivers and youth. Roxana will take time to truly listen and understand the caregiver and youth's need in a non-judgmental manner in order to support them to confidently reach their determined goals.
Outside of work, Roxana enjoys being in nature, traveling, spending time with friends and families as well as hanging out with her dog and rabbit!
Roxana is also a bilingual therapist and takes pride in being able to support Spanish-speaking families, who sometimes are better assisted in speaking in their native language.
