Sarah Brown, LCSW, has worked with children and families since 2012 in various roles, such as working with young children in the Early Headstart Program, working as a classroom aide with kids with special needs in a school setting, providing ABA services to kids with autism, volunteering with kids who have experienced intimate partner violence in the home, as well as volunteering with transitional-aged youth experiencing homelessness. Sarah has six years of experience in a clinical school- based setting, working with children grades K-6 who have experienced trauma and have other mental health needs. In her last setting, Sarah became familiar with the needs of immigrant families and provided therapy in the Spanish language.
Sarah offers a warm, collaborative space to reflect, heal, and take meaningful steps toward change. With experience in childhood mental health, special needs, and immigrant families—and as a parent herself— Sarah brings empathy and insight to the work. Sarah believes strongly in collaborating with and including caregivers in the work and makes special effort to ensure that caregivers are partners in care.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with my family, reading, and staying active at the gym.
