Tia Whiteside, BCBA, has been supporting children and families for over a decade in a variety of roles. She began her career as an early intervention behavior technician, where she discovered a love for the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. After earning her master’s degree from Ball State University and obtaining her BCBA certification, Tia began providing Telehealth services to families in rural areas of the U.S., with a concentrated focus on parent training and education. She also served as a Subject Matter Expert for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board during the 2023–2024 term, assisting with content development for future certification exams. Tia’s journey supporting families eventually led her to Little Otter, where she continues her passion for supporting parents and caregivers while expanding access to services for all families.
Tia’s clinical approach is practical, compassionate, and data-driven. She believes parents are one of the most important members of their child’s care team, and supporting them leads to better outcomes for children. She enjoys teaching and empowering parents to collect data, make data-driven decisions, implement practical behavior management strategies, and advocate for their child’s needs.
Outside of work, Tia enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and son in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
