Traci Cahn, PsyD, is a psychologist who has known from a young age that her calling was to support others through understanding human behavior. Her interest in psychology began early, as she found herself helping family members, reading about human behavior, asking thoughtful questions, and observing people around her. She studied psychology and human development at The Ohio State University and continued her training at schools of professional psychology, building a strong foundation in both theory and practice. Throughout her career, Traci has been fortunate to gain experience across a wide range of settings, including preschools, high schools, colleges, group homes, veteran’s programs, welfare-to-work programs, homeless shelters, partial hospitalization programs, and community mental health centers. This diverse background has shaped her holistic understanding of individuals and family systems and continues to fuel her passion for learning about people. She feels deeply privileged to be invited into so many journeys of personal growth. Traci’s therapeutic approach centers on using treatment modalities that best fit each individual and family system. She works collaboratively with people to understand their wants, needs, cultures, and perspectives, creating care that is thoughtful, responsive, and respectful. Traci cares deeply about the people in her life, including the families she serves at Little Otter, and this care brings motivation, devotion, and dedication to the work she does as part of a collaborative care team. Outside of work, Traci enjoys hiking, reading, creating art projects, doing puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.
