Cynthia Valenzuela, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience supporting children and families in both community mental health and pediatric hospital settings. Throughout her career, she has worked with children facing behavioral and emotional challenges, always with the goal of helping families build resilience, connection, and strength. Cynthia has partnered closely with parents, caregivers, and schools to create supportive environments where children can thrive.
Her therapeutic approach is supportive, practical, and tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. She draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and strengths-based and solution-focused techniques. Cynthia also incorporates play-based and creative activities to help children express themselves and engage in learning in ways that feel natural and fun.
Cynthia is passionate about walking alongside families in their journey, offering guidance, understanding, and care every step of the way.
Outside of her clinical work, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her family, going camping, exploring the outdoors, and finding new adventures together.
