Jopeth Peterson, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist with five years of experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and adults across a variety of settings, including community-based programs, school-based services, and group practices. He has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, guiding children and families through their journeys to healing. Jopeth specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and collaborates with families to provide treatment tailored to each client’s unique needs. He also incorporates interventions from other modalities, including strength-based, solution-focused, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support growth and change.
Jopeth’s therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that caregivers are the experts on their children and family and serve as essential guides in the therapeutic process. He works closely with each caregiver to build an authentic, compassionate, and respectful partnership. Through this relationship, Jopeth strives to understand family concerns and needs, creating treatment goals while using evidence-based strategies to promote meaningful growth and positive change.
Outside of his clinical work, Jopeth enjoys spending time with his partner and their dogs, exploring restaurants throughout the Los Angeles area, trying a variety of foods, and attending shows and concerts on a monthly basis.
