Kylie Cullen, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist with a deep commitment to supporting the emotional wellness of children and families. After completing her Master’s degree, Kylie began her clinical work in school-based settings through Oakland Unified School District, where she provided therapy to elementary and high school students navigating trauma, family transitions, self-esteem challenges, social dynamics, and academic stress. She has also worked in community mental health, supporting youth and families involved with county systems, foster care, and family reunification efforts. A significant part of Kylie’s clinical background includes working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays. She has led social skills groups for middle school students and facilitated parent support groups focused on extending those skills into the home environment. As a parent herself, Kylie brings a grounded, empathetic perspective to her work and remains passionate about helping families navigate life’s challenges with confidence and care. Kylie takes a strengths-based, systemic approach to therapy, recognizing that children are influenced by their families, schools, communities, and broader environments. She integrates evidence-based interventions, drawing especially from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which provides practical tools in areas such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. She is committed to truly understanding each child’s context and tailoring her work to reflect their individual path and needs. Outside of her clinical work, Kylie enjoys cooking for her family, going on nature walks and hikes, traveling, sipping iced coffee, and listening to audiobooks—especially in the mystery, thriller, and fantasy genres. Kylie believes that therapy can feel vulnerable, but also incredibly empowering. She is honored to walk alongside families on their journey toward growth, understanding, and healing.
